Why is it taking so long?
Knives placed in your back making you wonder why you allowed them to enter.
Scars conceal the love your heart beholds.
The sound of hate,the touch of pain,the image of deceit too.
Regrets of the past begin to haunt you.
Your heart has no name,
Yet you crush it with blame.
Your heart wears no face,it speaks no words,
Yet it cries so many tears.
You've put up barriers and shields-
Protection from guns and spears that roam these fields.
You're consumed by fear,you see the rifles that are near.
Machinery and weapons- armed,ready,aiming for you.
You scream,you run,you cry,nothings new.
Fighting this internal war,your soul has been torn.
The war of life has made you an orphan of love,
But with little bandages covering your wounds,you will be healed by the touchb of your dove
